Consolidation Percentage Subtask
Use this subtask of the Link Consolidation Locations screen to enter a consolidation percentage that Costpoint uses in the consolidation process. You can establish an ownership percentage if the company that you must include in the Consolidations process is not a wholly owned subsidiary. You can maintain the ownership percentage by fiscal year and period.
This consolidation percentage functionality applies to all balance sheet and income statement account balances. Costpoint retrieves the data in accordance with the Consolidation Calculation Method (Inception-To-Date or Year-To-Date) selected on the Configure Consolidation Settings screen.
The process starts by taking the CONS_PCT (Consolidation Percentage) from the CONS_LINK_LOC_PCT (Consolidation Link Location Percentage) table, before Costpoint calculates the consolidation entry, by retrieving data from the FS_SUM (Financial Statement Summary) table and/or the CONS_XFR_HS (Consolidation Transfer History) table.
Costpoint applies the correct exchange rate to the stockholders' equity account, where multiple exchange rates can be used in the mapping. However, if multiple stockholders' equity accounts, using both the historical and the weighted average historical rate, are mapped to a single stockholders’ equity account in the receiving (consolidation) company, Costpoint displays an error message.
