Home Dashboard

Use the Home Dashboard to view actionable data that you access most often, including information on your timesheets, pending tasks, expense reports and authorizations, available leave balances, and outstanding expenses.

You must be licensed for Deltek Time & Expense before you can access the Home Dashboard as it pulls data from Time & Expense. If you are not licensed for this product and you try to open the Home Dashboard, Costpoint displays an error message.

Use this dashboard to view general information on your tasks, leaves, and expenses. You can also drill from the dashboard to a screen in Time & Expense to access more details, provided your system administrator has granted you rights to the drill-through application.

You can access the Home Dashboard as soon as you log in to Costpoint by clicking on Costpoint's main page. Note, however, that this icon is visible only to users with Time & Expense license. The Home Dashboard also resides under the Dashboards module in Reports & Analytics.

The following are the dashparts available on the Home Dashboard:

  • My Tasks
  • My Timesheets
  • My Leave Balances
  • My Expense Reports
  • My Expense Authorizations
  • My Outstanding Expenses
Attention: For more information on how to use this dashboard, refer to the Home Dashboard video.
Note: When you open this dashboard for the first time and close it, the following message displays even if you did not make any changes on the screen: "You have unsaved changes. Select Cancel to go back and save changes or select OK to discard changes and close this application." You need to click Cancel and then click Save or Save & Continue on the Parameters tab to avoid encountering the same issue the next time you access this dashboard.
