Copy Data to Microsoft Excel

You can copy data from a table to Microsoft Excel.

This procedure is applicable to table windows on the Parameters tab and numerical tables on the Reports tab. For information on other options you can use on table lines/rows on the Parameters tab, see the Getting Started section of the online help (Getting Started > Global Menus and Toolbars > Global Line Menu).

To copy data to Microsoft Excel, do either of the following:

  • On the Reports tab, right-click a column heading in a numerical table dashpart and select Copy Data to Insert into Excel.
    When you paste the data into Microsoft Excel, all contents of the table are included.
  • On the Parameters tab, select the line or row in a table window containing the data that you want to copy. Click Line in the Global Menu and select Copy Data to Insert into Excel.
    When you paste the data into Microsoft Excel, only the contents of the line you selected are included.
